Support Staff - West Valley
Assist in teaching and training life, daily living, and social skills. Individuals who are effective as support staff are cheerful, energetic and enjoy working in teams. They are dedicated to assisting program participants to fully benefit from opportunities to learn, to develop and improve skills and abilities, to be independent, and to be physically active. Support program participants through conducting learning experiences, coaching them in appropriate behaviors, and accompanying them on excursions into the community. Requirements: high school diploma or GED, be at least 18 years of age and in good physical condition, be able to lift at least 50 pounds frequently, be able to communicate well in written and spoken English. We are seeking applicants who believe in and are committed to our mission of enriching the lives of people with disabilities by providing to them opportunities for independence and individual growth. Part-time, Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
